Visual Arts Programs

Visual Arts Program – our staff of professional artists deliver classes in activities, like drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media, at regular intervals throughout the year, including spring workshops and summer camps.

Come on down to the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery and join our open studio classes.
Classes run September 5 to November 28, 2008

Monday-Wednesday-Friday

1 - 4 pm

Stewart Discovery Room at the Red Deer Museum & Art Gallery

Come one or more afternoons per week. Special led activities will be regularly scheduled: Fun Fridays, WooHoo Wednesdays and Movie Mondays.

Memberships are available to the PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities) community at a cost of $10.00 per term.

Drop-in fees of $3.50 each apply for non-members.

The program is open and accessible to everyone.

The artsparks Studio – open studio where artsparks members can explore painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture, with professional artists at hand to help with technique and supplies.

Artist in Residence Program – a mentorship program aimed at showcasing the achievements of artists within the PDD community through collaboration with instructors in program delivery, and special consideration in art exhibits.

artsparks Showcase Program – showcase the art of people with developmental disabilities in a variety of venues throughout the community.

artsparks in the Community Program – support artsparks’ pursuit of collaborative work with other community groups and events.

artsparks Lending Program - framed art created by our clients is available for rent to agencies and businesses for a nominal fee.

artsparks Artist Friends - professional artists who come to your venue with an art activity.
